Refund Policy

Deposits, rent, fees and refunds are tracked as separate records on-platform, and money moves through Paystack — not informal cash hand-offs.

When refunds apply

A payment may be refundable where a verified listing turns out to be unavailable, a transaction is cancelled before a lease is signed, or a charge is made in error. Refundable security deposits are returned per the written tenancy agreement, less any agreed deductions.

How refunds are processed

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through Paystack. Processing times depend on your bank and the payment processor.

What is not automatically refundable

Earned service or success fees, and amounts already disbursed to a landlord under a signed agreement, are not automatically refundable. Disputes between a tenant and landlord are subject to the tenancy agreement; RentFlex.ng can mediate but is not a party except for its own fees.
